Polaris sportsman clutch




Polaris sporstman 800 efi clutch has been probably designed to work in all kinds of driving. So it is a major compromise. It is taking off almost from idle speed. This is probably because its quite easy to drive that way, but it makes gear change problems if the clutch is already hooking up at idle. I changed the main spring to so called ‘white’ spring. The original is blue/green. The difference it makes is amazing. It totally changed how the clutch works. The gear change is very smooth and acceleration is better. Its easier to hop the front wheels over some ditch. It also keeps the revs little higher. So it makes it easier to crawl. At hard surface it little tricker happy. Probably the reason polaris didnt use thi set up from the factory as its suprising to beginners.
